A lawyer and social activist, she co-founded the non-profit organizations - the Committee for the Defense of Justice and Free Courts - focusing on monitoring and documenting instances of political pressure on judges, attorneys, and legal advisors, and providing legal assistance to these individuals. She regularly participates in legislative processes in the parliament as an expert and also engages in meetings organized by the European Commission, where she presents a civic and expert perspective on the changes in the Polish justice system. In courts and tribunals, she represents national and sexual minorities, victims of violence, and individuals affected by police misconduct. She argues before the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights in pivotal cases concerning the independence of courts and the impartiality of judges.

She is the driving force and executor of the civic campaign "Constitutional Week." A recipient of the Golden Paragraph award in the category of the best lawyer in Poland, she was also featured in Forbes Women's ranking of the Most Influential Women in Poland for the year 2020. Additionally, she is a Yale University fellow under The Maurice R. Greenberg World Fellows Program.
